SENIOR'S MONTH ACTIVITIES - OCTOBER 2021

Annual Seniors' Luncheon

Emerald Town Hall
Tuesday 12 October 2021
from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm.

Join the Mayor and Councillors at the annual Seniors Luncheon.

Community members aged 55 and over are eligible to participate.

Carers are welcome to join to support community members attending.

To register yourself, a friend or a family member to attend the luncheon or receive a gift bag call 1300 242 686.

Free buses to Emerald are also available on the day to get you to the celebration.

Bookings are essential and can be secured with your ticket registration.

  • Rolleston | 27 October 2021 | Bocce, bingo, beverages and nibbles
  • Springsure | 14 October 2021 | Afternoon tea, chess, a lesson on audiobooks and BorrowBox
  • Springsure | 28 October | Movie (Forrest Gump)
  • Tieri | 26 October | Morning tea and craft (Decoupage terracotta pot to take home, potted with succulent)

A new Program that provides support for people in their Super Senior Years and anyone who may be experiencing mental health challenges. Great fun and social activities, one-on-one support and referral.  Please contact Jenny on 49821 696

Annual Events

To celebrate the “Luck of the Irish”, we host a morning tea with raffles, prizes and yummy treats.

Together with the Cancer Council, we host a morning tea with raffles, prizes and yummy treats.

The Curry Night is our major fundraiser for the year.  With the help of Volunteers and Staff we provide a variety of Curries and desserts.  We also have great raffles and cent sale prizes up for grabs.

A fun night full of laughs, food, drink and great prizes.

A fun opportunity to test your general knowledge skills.

Our Volunteers

Volunteers are the backbone of our organisation!

Our volunteers help us with:

  • Reception duties
  • Food Prep/Cleaning/Serving for Catered Events
  • Setting up for meetings
  • Sorting community pantry items.
